Bed Bug (fecal spotting)

Human dwellings, specifically cracks and crevices near sleeping areas such as mattresses, box springs, and bed frames

Obligate hematophagous (feeds exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, primarily humans)

Nocturnal parasites that hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They leave behind dark, rust-colored fecal spots (digested blood) on linens and furniture.

While not known to transmit diseases, they cause significant psychological distress, sleep deprivation, and itchy allergic reactions from bites. They are considered a major pest of public health importance.
