Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal parasites that emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis with five nymphal stages, requiring a blood meal to progress to each stage.
Risks & Benefits
They are significant structural pests that cause itchy bites, allergic reactions, and psychological distress. While not known to transmit diseases, they are difficult and expensive to eradicate.
