Size: Larvae are approximately 6 to 10 mm long, housed in a silken case of similar length.

Natural Habitat
Typically found indoors in dark, undisturbed areas such as closets, wardrobes, and under furniture.
Diet & Feeding
Larvae feed on fibers of animal origin, including wool, fur, feathers, hair, and silk, as well as synthetic fabrics blended with natural fibers.
Behavior Patterns
Larvae construct a portable silken case that they carry as they feed. They are often found climbing walls to pupate in high, dark corners of a room.
Risks & Benefits
Risks include significant damage to clothing, upholstery, and carpets. They provide no direct benefit to humans and are considered a common household pest.
