Behavior Patterns
Often forms winged forms (alates) when overcrowding or poor host quality occurs, allowing migration to new plants. They exhibit rapid asexual reproduction (parthenogenesis).
Risks & Benefits
Major agricultural pest that can stunt plant growth, distort leaves, and transmit plant viruses. They produce honeydew which encourages sooty mold growth.
