Behavior Patterns

Nocturnal and elusive, they move quickly in a fish-like manner. They molt throughout their lives and can survive for long periods without food.

Risks & Benefits

Risks: Considered household pests because they can damage books, wallpaper, carpet, and clothing. They can trigger allergies in some people but do not bite or transmit diseases. Benefits: They act as decomposers in nature but offer little benefit inside homes.
