Behavior Patterns

Nocturnal or crepuscular, often attracted to lights. They are weak fliers and have a very short adult lifespan of only a few days focused on mating.

Risks & Benefits

Harmless to humans; they do not bite or sting. In the ecosystem, they serve as a food source for birds, bats, and spiders. However, larvae can occasionally damage turf or crops.
