Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal and elusive insects that emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult) and require a blood meal to advance to each life stage.
Risks & Benefits
They do not transmit diseases but their bites can cause allergic reactions, skin rashes, psychological distress, and sleeplessness. They have no known benefits to humans or ecosystems.
