Masked Hunter Nymph

Natural Habitat

Usually found indoors in dark, undisturbed areas like basements, attics, and closets; also found in gardens and woodpiles.

Diet & Feeding

Strictly carnivorous. They eat other small arthropods including bed bugs, carpet beetles, termites, and earwigs.

Behavior Patterns

Nymphs practice 'camouflagic' behavior by covering their bodies with dust, lint, and sand using a sticky secretion. They are primarily nocturnal hunters.

Risks & Benefits

Benefit: Excellent natural pest control as they hunt invasive household bugs. Risk: Can deliver a very painful defensive bite if handled or provoked, though they do not transmit diseases to humans.
