Natural Habitat

Behavior Patterns

The larva constructs a protective silken case incorporating debris and fibers. It carries this case with it as it moves and feeds, eventually pupating within it.

Risk: They are pests that can cause significant damage to clothing, upholstery, and carpets. Benefit: In nature, they serve as decomposers of animal remains.
