Size: Larval case is usually 8mm to 10mm in length.

Natural Habitat
Typically found indoors in dark, undisturbed areas such as closets, cupboards, and under furniture.
Diet & Feeding
Feeds on keratin-containing animal products including wool, silk, feathers, fur, and hair.
Behavior Patterns
The larva constructs a protective silken case incorporating debris and fibers. It carries this case with it as it moves and feeds, eventually pupating within it.
Risks & Benefits
Risk: They are pests that can cause significant damage to clothing, upholstery, and carpets. Benefit: In nature, they serve as decomposers of animal remains.
