Bed Bug

Found globally indoors, specifically in close proximity to human sleeping areas such as mattresses, bed frames, and floorboards.

Strictly hematophagous, meaning they feed exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, primarily humans.

Mainly nocturnal; they hide in dark crevices during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).

Risks include itchy skin welts, allergic reactions, and psychological distress/insomnia. They are not known to transmit diseases to humans but are considered a significant pest requiring professional eradication.
