Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal and elusive; they emerge at night to feed and return to hiding during the day. They go through five nymphal stages, requiring a blood meal to molt at each stage.
Risks & Benefits
No known nutritional or ecological benefits to humans. Risks include itchy skin rashes, psychological distress (anxiety/insomnia), and allergic reactions. While they harbor pathogens, they are not known to transmit diseases to humans.
