Carpet Beetle Larva

Found indoors in dark, undisturbed areas such as closets, under baseboards, inside furniture, air ducts, and wherever natural fibers accumulate.

Keratin and natural fibers including wool, silk, feathers, leather, hair, and sometimes stored grains.

They prefer dark environments and avoid light. They molt multiple times as they grow, shedding bristly skins, and undergo complete metamorphosis into small, oval beetles.

Risks include damaging carpets, clothing, and upholstered furniture by feeding on natural fibers. They do not bite humans, though shedding bristles can sometimes cause skin irritation or allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.
