Behavior Patterns

The larva constructs and lives inside a portable silken case incorporating fibers from its food source. It drags this case as it moves and eventually pupates within it.

Risks & Benefits

A significant household pest that can cause irreversible damage to clothing, upholstery, and carpets; provides no significant benefit to humans.
