Natural Habitat

Tonsillar crypts (crevices within the tonsils in the human throat)

N/A (Formed by the accumulation of bacteria, dead cells, mucus, and food particles)

Stationary; forms slowly over time as debris calcifies in the pockets of the tonsils. It does not move or exhibit insect behaviors.

Risks: Primary cause of halitosis (bad breath), throat irritation, foreign body sensation, or referred ear pain. Benefits: None.
