Diet & Feeding
Adults feed on pollen and nectar; larvae are predatory, primarily consuming aphids and other soft-bodied insects.
Behavior Patterns
Excellent flyers that exhibit hover-and-dart flight patterns. They mimic the appearance of bees or wasps as a defense mechanism against predators through Batesian mimicry.
