Size: 4 to 5 mm (adults), roughly the size of an apple seed.

Natural Habitat
Human dwellings, specifically cracks and crevices near sleeping areas such as mattresses, bed frames, and baseboards.
Diet & Feeding
Obligate hematophages (blood-feeders), primarily targeting humans but occasionally feeding on other warm-blooded animals.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal parasites that hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis with five nymphal stages, each requiring a blood meal to molt.
Risks & Benefits
While they do not known to transmit diseases to humans, their bites can cause allergic reactions, skin rashes, and psychological distress. They are considered a significant public health pest.
