Commonly found on clothing, bedding, carpets, and upholstery.

Does not exhibit independent movement; moves passively due to air currents or static electricity (triboelectric effect). Often appears curved or thread-like.

Harmless debris. Primary risk is misidentification as a parasite (such as a pinworm or Morgellons fiber), which can cause anxiety or 'delusory parasitosis'.
