Natural Habitat

Omnivorous and opportunistic, they feed on honeydew from aphids, sweet substances, proteins, and other insects.
Behavior Patterns
Highly social and invasive; they form massive supercolonies with multiple queens and lack aggression toward members of the same species from different nests.
Risks & Benefits
Major pest that displaces native ant species and protects crop-damaging aphids. They do not sting but can invade homes in massive numbers looking for food.
