Bed Bug (Nymph or Crushed Adult)

Dwellings, specifically in cracks and crevices of furniture, mattresses, and bed frames near sleeping hosts.

Obligate hematophagous (blood-feeding) on humans and occasionally other warm-blooded animals.

Nocturnal and elusive; they hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis with five nymphal stages that each require a blood meal to molt.

Risks: Cause itchy welts, psychological distress, and potential allergic reactions. They are not known to transmit diseases to humans. Benefits: None to the ecosystem or humans.
