Size: 4 to 5 mm (about the size of an apple seed)

Natural Habitat
Human dwellings, specifically in cracks, crevices, bed frames, mattresses, and behind wallpaper or baseboards.
Diet & Feeding
Strictly hematophagous (blood-feeders), primarily targeting humans but also feeding on other warm-blooded animals.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal and elusive; they hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).
Risks & Benefits
Risks include itchy, red welts from bites, potential allergic reactions, and psychological distress/insomnia; however, they are not known to transmit diseases to humans. There are no ecological benefits in a domestic human setting.
