Booklouse

Found in warm, humid indoor environments such as kitchens, pantries, bathrooms, and areas with books, paper, or stored grain.

Molds, fungi, starch, grains, paste in bookbindings, and organic debris.

They are wingless, prefer high humidity, and reproduce quickly through parthenogenesis in many cases. They do not bite humans.

Risks include contaminating stored dry foods and damaging books or wallpaper through mold consumption. They do not transmit diseases and are generally harmless annoyances.
