Case-bearing Clothes Moth (Larva/Case)

Indoor environments, particularly dark, undisturbed areas like closets, pantries, and under furniture.

Larvae feed on items of animal origin containing keratin, such as wool, fur, feathers, hair, and silk, as well as some stored dry foods.

The larva builds a portable silken case incorporating fibers from its food source. It carries this case while feeding and eventually pupates inside it.

No health risks to humans, but can cause significant damage to clothing, upholstery, and carpets. They are considered household pests.
