Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal insects that hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult) and require a blood meal to molting to the next stage.
Risks & Benefits
Risks include itchy bites, allergic reactions, and psychological distress/insomnia. While they do not transmit diseases, they are significant household pests. They offer no known ecosystem benefits in a domestic human setting.
