Behavior Patterns
The larva spins a silken case around itself, incorporating fibers of the material it is feeding on for camouflage. They carry this case as they move and feed, eventually pupating within it.

They are household pests that cause significant damage to clothing, upholstery, and carpets. They do not pose health risks to humans but can be economically destructive.
