Does not consume food; consists of accumulated hair, skin cells, and fabric fibers.

Accumulates in areas with low air movement or via static electricity and physical contact.

Generally harmless, though can trigger allergies or asthma in sensitive individuals if dust mites are present; no ecosystem benefit.
