Bed Bug

Commonly found in cracks and crevices in and around beds, such as mattress seams, bed frames, and furniture in human dwellings.

Obligate hematophages; they feed exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, primarily humans.

Mainly nocturnal and elusive; they hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).

Risks include itchy allergic reactions to bites, sleep deprivation, and psychological distress. They are not known to transmit diseases to humans but are ecosystem nuisance pests.
