Natural Habitat

Obligate hematophagous (blood-feeding); they primarily feed on the blood of humans but can also feed on other warm-blooded animals.
Behavior Patterns
Primarily nocturnal insects that hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).
Risks & Benefits
Risks include itchy skin rashes, allergic reactions, and psychological distress. While they do not transmit diseases, infestations are difficult and costly to eradicate. They offer no known ecological benefits to human environments.
