Natural Habitat
Found in wooded areas, beneath loose bark of dead trees, in leaf litter, and wood piles.
Diet & Feeding
Scavengers that feed on decaying organic matter, such as rotting wood, leaves, and fungi.
Behavior Patterns
Primarily nocturnal. Unlike domestic roaches, they are attracted to lights. Males are capable flyers, while females typically have vestigial wings and cannot fly.
Risks & Benefits
They are beneficial to the ecosystem as decomposers. They are not considered household pests, as they cannot survive or breed indoors due to low humidity.
