Linen or Fabric Lint

Found on textiles, clothing, upholstery, and carpets, often accumulating in areas with low air circulation like under furniture or in dryer filters.

Non-living material; does not consume nutrients.

Accumulates through friction and static electricity; often adheres to fabric surfaces or becomes entangled in woven materials.

No biological risk, though it can trigger allergies in sensitive individuals or represent a fire hazard if allowed to build up in tumble dryers. No ecosystem benefit as it is inanimate debris.
