Natural Habitat

Obligate hematophages; they feed on the blood of birds or rodents, but will bite humans if their primary host is unavailable.
Behavior Patterns
Active crawlers that move rapidly; they cannot fly or jump. They are primarily nocturnal and seek out heat and carbon dioxide to find hosts.
Risks & Benefits
Risks include intense itching, skin irritation, and dermatitis from bites. They do not typically survive long or reproduce on human blood. No major ecosystem benefits in human dwellings.
