Natural Habitat
Typically found in deciduous forests, orchards, groves, and gardens, often on the bark of infested trees.
Diet & Feeding
Carnivorous; feeds primarily on scale insects (particularly arboreal scale) and aphids.
Behavior Patterns
Both adults and larvae are active hunters on tree bark. They overwinter as adults, often huddling in leaf litter or under loose bark.
