Natural Habitat

Typically found indoors in buildings or outdoors in leafy litter where cockroaches are present.

Diet & Feeding

Adults feed on flower nectar; however, the larvae are predatory and develop inside the ootheca (egg cases) of cockroaches.

Behavior Patterns

They are easily identified by their small, flag-like abdomen which they bob up and down while walking. They are solitary and do not sting humans.
