Behavior Patterns
The larva builds a silk-lined portable tube (case) camouflaged with fibers from its food source. It carries this case as it feeds and eventually pupates inside it.
Risks & Benefits
Considered a household pest because it can cause significant damage to rugs, clothing, and upholstery; it provides no direct benefit to the indoor ecosystem.
