Natural Habitat

Indoor environments, particularly in dark, undisturbed areas like closets, drawers, and under furniture where natural fibers are stored.

Diet & Feeding

Natural protein fibers including wool, silk, fur, feathers, and hair. They can also feed on wool-synthetic blends.

Behavior Patterns

Larvae are photophobic (avoid light) and often spin silk tunnels or 'webs' as they feed. They undergo a complete metamorphosis from egg to larva, pupa, and finally adult moth.
