Natural Habitat

Obligate hematophages (feeds exclusively on blood), primarily targeting humans but also other warm-blooded animals.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal parasites that hide in dark crevices during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo hemimetabolous metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).
Risks & Benefits
Risks include itchy allergic reactions to bites, psychological distress, and potential secondary skin infections from scratching; they are not known vectors of disease. There are no ecological benefits to humans.
