Behavior Patterns
The larva constructs a protective, flattened silk case covered in debris and sand. It can emerge from either end of the case to feed or move. As it grows, it enlarges the case.
Risks & Benefits
They are nuisance pests that can damage clothing or carpets made of natural fibers. They do not bite or pose direct health risks to humans or pets.
