Omnivorous scavenger; eats crumbs, grease, sugary substances, soap, glue, and general household debris.

Behavior Patterns

Primarily nocturnal, hiding in cracks and crevices during the day. This species reproduces very rapidly and is highly dependent on human dwellings.

Risks & Benefits

Serious household pest. They can spread pathogens (like Salmonella and E. coli) on surfaces and their castings/droppings are a significant trigger for asthma and allergies. They offer no notable benefits to the indoor ecosystem.
