Bed Bug

Found in human dwellings, typically in the seams of mattresses, bed frames, and cracks in furniture.

Hematophagous; feeds exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, primarily humans.

Nocturnal and elusive; they hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).

Risks include skin rashes, psychological distress, and allergic reactions to bites; they are a significant household pest, though they are not known vectors of disease.
