Bed Bug

Indoor environments, primarily living in proximity to human sleeping areas such as mattresses, bed frames, and floorboards.

Obligate hematophagous parasites that feed exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, primarily humans.

Nocturnal and elusive; they hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult) and require a blood meal to progress through each growth stage.

Risks include physical discomfort, itchy welts, allergic reactions, and significant psychological distress/insomnia. They are not known to transmit diseases to humans but cause significant economic burden and home infestation issues.
