Natural Habitat

Found on the undersides of leaves of various trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants.

Diet & Feeding

Herbivorous; they use piercing-sucking mouthparts to feed on plant sap from the underside of leaves.

Behavior Patterns

They are known for their lace-like wing patterns; they often cause stippling (small yellow spots) on leaves and leave behind dark fecal spots. Many species are host-specific.
