Size: 4 to 5 mm (adults), about the size of an apple seed.

Natural Habitat
Typically found in cracks and crevices near sleeping areas, such as mattresses, bed frames, and baseboards inside human residences.
Diet & Feeding
Obligate hematophages, meaning they feed exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, primarily humans.
Behavior Patterns
Mainly nocturnal; they hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).
Risks & Benefits
Risks include itchy skin welts, allergic reactions, and psychological distress. While they do not transmit diseases, infestations are difficult to eradicate. There are no ecological benefits to humans.
