Found on clothing, carpets, furniture, and dryer filters.

Does not eat; composed of fibers from cotton, polyester, wool, etc.

Accumulates through friction and wear of fabrics; moves only via air currents or static electricity.

Harmless; no biological risks, though large accumulations in dryer vents can pose a fire hazard.
