Case-making clothes moth larva

Indoor environments, particularly in closets, drawers, or areas where natural fibers are stored.

Larvae feed on keratin-containing animal products such as wool, fur, feathers, silk, felt, and leather.

Larvae construct a portable silken case incorporating fibers from the material they feed on. They remain inside this case until they pupate.

Significant pest to clothing and textiles; can cause irreversible damage to rugs, clothing, and upholstered furniture. They do not pose health risks to humans.
