Behavior Patterns
Larvae construct a portable silken case incorporating fibers from their food source and remain inside while feeding; they move using their front legs while carrying the case.
Risks & Benefits
Significant household pest that causes physical damage to clothing, upholstery, and carpets. They do not bite humans or pets but are destructive to property.
