Indoor environments, specifically within cracks, crevices, bedding, and furniture near human sleeping areas.

Blood, primarily from humans, obtained through nocturnal feeding.

Nocturnal parasites that hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).

Risks include itchy bites, allergic reactions, secondary skin infections, and significant psychological distress; they do not transmit diseases.
