Nocturnal parasites that hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult) and can survive months without feeding.
Risks & Benefits
They are major household pests that cause itchy bites, allergic reactions, and psychological distress. While not known to transmit diseases, infestations are difficult to eradicate and have no known ecological benefits to human environments.
