Green Lacewing Larva (Junk Bug)

Found globally on vegetation, in gardens, and occasionally crawling on indoor surfaces.

Highly predatory; they consume aphids, mites, scale insects, and other soft-bodied invertebrates.

Known for camouflaging themselves by attaching debris, lichen, and the husks of their prey to their backs using specialized hooked hairs.

Extremely beneficial to ecosystems and agriculture as natural pest control. They are harmless to humans, though they may occasionally deliver a minor, non-venomous nip if handled.
