Behavior Patterns
The larva constructs a spindle-shaped silk case covered in sand, dust, and lint for camouflage. It remains inside this case, extending its head to feed or move, and eventually pupates within it.
Risks & Benefits
A nuisance pest that can cause minor damage to clothing, upholstery, and carpets made of natural animal fibers; they do not pose a direct health risk to humans.
