Bed Bug (suspected/partially crushed)

Human dwellings, particularly in mattresses, box springs, bed frames, furniture seams, behind baseboards, and in dark crevices near sleeping areas.

Obligate hematophages, feeding primarily on the blood of humans, but may also feed on other warm-blooded animals.

Nocturnal insects that emerge from hiding at night to feed on resting hosts. They are attracted to body heat and carbon dioxide. After feeding, they retreat back into tight cracks and crevices to digest and reproduce.

Risks include itchy, red bite marks that can lead to secondary skin infections from scratching, allergic reactions, and sleep disturbance or anxiety. They do not transmit infectious diseases to humans. They offer no beneficial ecological services in indoor environments.
