Dry Skin Flake (Not a Bug)
Scientific Name: Epidermis (Stratum Corneum)
Order & Family: N/A (Biological tissue)
Size: Typically 0.1 mm to several millimeters depending on the clump.

Natural Habitat
Found on human skin, scalp, clothing, or household surfaces.
Diet & Feeding
Does not eat; it is dead tissue shed from the body.
Behavior Patterns
Dry skin naturally sheds from the stratum corneum (outermost layer of skin). It is inanimate and does not move or behave on its own. It is often mistaken for skin parasites or 'morgellons' due to pareidolia.
Risks & Benefits
Harmless debris. While unsightly or a potential allergen (dust mites feed on it), dry skin flakes themselves pose no direct risk to humans.
